A classic city with a fascinating history and an ever developing future
A wide range of public events and programs are being developed to enhance community dialogue, support first responders, educators, and health care professionals and overall strengthen community unity.
It is the intention of the founders of this non-profit and its members to remain non-partisan, racially diverse, and a broad spectrum of demographics to include as well as represent a broad cross section of the community.
Adhering to our mission, we are establishing community programs which support and raise a positive visibility in the Athens-Clarke and Northeast Georgia region.

THE CLASSIC CITY
Athens, GAOne of Georgia's fastest growing metropolitan statistical areas is anchored by the growing community of Athens/Clarke County. Though the geographically smallest county in the state, by acreage, it has among the highest educational attainment levels and among the fastest growing percentages of relocating retirees.
The county has a significant economic divide and among the highest poverty rates for a metro area. The economic divide is largely geographic as well as racial. These shifts in demographics and increased political activism by Millennials and newer residents have also led to a significant public policy shift by local government.
